Education Uncubed
Designed to unlock the potential of universities, Education Uncubed is a three-day conference for students, alumni, and educators. It will be held on Nov. 2-4 in New York and will bring together the different universities in the country along with top names in the startup industry.
The conference is a chance for schools to better prepare and equip their students and alumni with business skills in order to pursue entrepreneurial careers. At the same time, educators and school officials will learn more about how to strengthen chances of employment for their students, and develop programs in response to the New Digital Age. Education Uncubed event is also an opportunity to meet and share experiences with other students, alumni, and startups. Online registration is ongoing on their website.
Startup Salad
Startup Salad is coming to San Francisco on November 20-22 for an intense weekend of pitching, mentoring, and networking with startup founders, experts, and investors. Software developers, hardware developers, product managers, graphic designers, marketers, and business strategists are invited to come and share their big business ideas, latest software and projects, while learning and collaborating with others. Participants will form teams and get hands-on advice from mentors over the weekend before they will present to a panel of judges at the end of the event. Tickets are available here.
Geeks on a Plane
Geeks on a Plane lands in the Middle East and will fly to selected cities from December 5 to 15. The 10-day business travel experience will gather startup entrepreneurs, investors, and executives for an exclusive tour. It offers an opportunity to travel with fellow geeks and at the same time learn about the latest on high-growth technology markets around the globe.
Organized by 500 Startups, the invite-only tour is a great opportunity to meet fellow startups, geeks, and potential investors, and discover new trends in the tech business scene. The tour destinations include Bahrain (Manama), UAE (Abu Dhabi & Dubai), Jordan (Amman & Dead Sea), and Egypt (Cairo). Interested participants can submit their applications through the GOAP website.
