USAID and US Peace Corps recently organized the first Youth Entrepreneurship Summit (YES) at SM Megamall, Cebu City, Philippines on August 2. Over 900 participants from the academe, non-profit organizations, and business sector attended the said event. The Youth Entrepreneurship Summit aims to inspire, educate, and encourage the youth to attain a business mindset and become entrepreneurs. The event speakers were successful Filipino businessmen, representatives from the USAID and Peace Corps, and also young people who successfully started a business in their communities.
