If you’ve been playing video games over the last two decades, then you might have owned the first ever video game console from Nintendo–the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).

Released in the early 80s, the NES was commonly known as the Family Computer in Japan and in some Asian countries. It was later introduced to America and became one of the best-selling video game consoles of all time.

In honor of its 30-year celebration, Nintendo will release an advanced version of its infamous 8-bit console. A duplicate of the 1985 juggernaut called the NES Classic Edition is set to be released in the United States this fall. It comes with 30 classic games exclusive for the NES library, which includes the original version of Super Mario Bros, The Legend of Zelda and many more.

President and COO of Nintendo America, Reggie Fils-Aime said that they wanted to provide their fans the chance to revisit the glorious original system of Nintendo and rediscover how they fell in love with it. He added that the NES Classic Edition is perfect for anyone who remembers playing the NES and for those who simply want to pass nostalgic memories to the next generation of video game enthusiasts.

The classic version of NES fits the standards of today’s technology. It will available in the United States this coming November.
