SAM Labs Raises $4.5M for Kids

SAM Labs has announced its raising of $4.5 million from a group of investors led by Imperial Ventures. The investment is intended to continue the company’s mission to introduce the Internet of Things to children. Not only will this help further the product, but it also has the added bonus of making kids excited about technology.

The company was sparked into life by a successful kickstarter campaign in 2014. Since then SAM Labs have continued to create tools and software to help kids become more involved with IoT programming projects. Normally, the route to market has been via parents, with kits available through the company’s own website.
