Evernote Removes Skitch for Windows but Retains Mac

The annotation app Skitch was bought by Evernote back in 2011. Several unpopular updates later, it will finally be gone for good now that its removal has been announced by the company. Skitch is just the highest profile casualty; Evernote also plans on removing their Clearly reading extension, as well as its Pebble app.

Evernote is ending their support for Skitch for Windows, Windows Touch, Android, and iOS starting on January 22. Each version will still work for existing users but external changes, such as updates to your OS, might break its functionality. Despite that, Evernote continues its support for Skitch for Mac. It is presumably due to its sheer popularity, but that is far from a confirmation.
