Now on its 3rd year, the International Travel Festival (ITF), will showcase another round of ideal domestic and foreign tour destinations on July 15-17 that at the Ayala Center Cebu.
Organized by MyEventology with the theme: “Don’t Dream, Just Go,” the three-day event will bring together over 100 exhibitors including national tour operators, airlines, hotels, resorts, travel agents, financial institutions, and insurance agents. The increasing number of exhibitors throughout the years has highlighted the ITF’s success and appeal on the country’s tourism. It started out with 60 exhibitors on its first year, 82 on its second year and for this year, the number of exhibitors listed has reached 107 and the number is still expected to grow.
The first ITF in 2014 attracted thousand of visitors to the Ayala Center Cebu and generated positive sales results for the exhibitors. The exhibitors earned a whopping P12 million from credit card sales, while the foot count reached about 270,000 in the venue. The second ITF duplicated its inaugural success from the first year.
“We are happy to note that our visitor rate has grown steadily and that we have provided positive results to our participating exhibitors,” said Stephanie Villahermosa, Project Director of MyEventology. “It is gratifying for us knowing that the show has not only generated sales but it has likewise enabled to reinforce their relationship proximity with their clients.”
As a way of giving back to the community, Villahermosa highlighted the Tourism Students Day on July 16th as activities like a quiz bee, industry talks, and the search for Ms. ITF Ambassadress will be held. They have also invited the different academes for a day of learning and fellowship.
The event organizers will also hold the 2nd Cebu Travel Exchange (CTX) as a precursor to the 3rd ITF on July 14th at Radisson Blu Cebu.
The CTX is a business networking trade event for tourism and hospitality stakeholders, among them are the ITF exhibitors from the airline industry, hotels, resorts, and travel agencies.
According to Villahermosa, the 2nd CTX promises to be a much bigger affair as prospective international buyers from about 30 foreign countries will be in attendance this year.
Stephanie Villahermosa was joined by Visayas Regional Head of BPI Fe Aleonar and the Associate Marketing Manager of Ayala Center Cebu Mikmik Corvera during the media launch of the 3rd International Travel Festival.
