Pork Production in Butuan City Pushed

Pilmico, Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc.’s food subsidiary, is trying its best to encourage a ‘buy local’ mindset and promote sustainable entrepreneurship. This accomplishment is expected to be carried out with its continued promotion of its “Mahalin Pagkaing Atin” program, which was originally established in the year 2014 and has been going strong since.

Recently, Pilmico has donated a total of 796 piglets as well as 223 egg machines. This has been of great help to at least 14 agri-posts where beneficiaries receive feedbags as a restart capital. If that wasn’t enough, at least 441 families throughout the country have also benefitted from the “Mahalin Pagkaing Atin” program for the past two years. Butuan City’s pork festival forms part of the Mahalin Pagkaing Atin program.
