Cotabato Farmers Provided P5.8M in Government Aid

More than P5.8 million worth of help has been turned over by the government to help out farmers that belong to 16 Irrigators Associations. The Department of Agriculture released a statement on Monday that the assistance includes P3.7 million worth of certified seeds and various other packages.

The items turned over include urea fertilizer, corn seed, garden tools with vegetable seed, livestock, fruit tree seedlings, poultry, backpack sprayers, and many more. Due to several government interventions, farm associate leaders within the region found their average palay yields rise to 4.87 metric tons per hectare from 2.27 metric tons.
