Microsoft to Bring Bots to Skype Among Others

Microsoft is giving the future of bot development another shot. At the annual Build conference at San Francisco, CEO Satya Nadella unveiled plans to bring bots into conversational platforms. This implies that other programs besides Skype — such as Outlook, Slack, and more — will be involved.

The integration of bots in Skype will be rolled out today on Windows, Android, and iOS as a preview. This also includes a way for users to test out SKype Bots and provide their feedback. Another thing of note should be Skype for Hololens going live today as well. However, this does not involve any bot integration whatsoever.
