It was announced on Monday that the Alsons Power Group’s Sarangani Energy Corporation had completed key tests for its first 105 megawatt coal-fired power plant. They are currently awaiting a certificate of compliance from the Energy Regulatory Commission. The company is now in its final preparatory stages for the plant’s commercial operations.
According to Nicandro R. Fucoy, “We are confident that the ERC will be to issue the COC at the soonest time possible as we have already completed all the requirements. Any delay in the start of commercial operations would be a gross disservice to the people who have long been waiting for an end to the power crisis.”
