Drones Add LED Fireworks to Mount Fuji

Drones are used for many things, but seldom in the name of entertainment. One company from Japan seeks to change all that with what it calls Sky Magic. There was no better demonstration than choreographed drone performances in Mt. Fuji.

Traditional Shamisen players strummed their instruments as 20 drones with 16,500 LEDs danced in the air. The company’s other promotional videos reveal special effects-assisted drone flights. Those may be cool to look at, but it doesn’t help to sell what Sky Magic does. Regardless, the recent demo is just a hint of what fireworks artists may be capable of and is pretty amazing to boot!
