Amazon has quietly ended its price protection policy on all of its products, with the exception of its televisions. This policy change comes at a time when a few startups launched for the purpose of helping customers automate the refund request process when prices change online.
Before the change in policy, Amazon’s price protection policy was among the least consumer-friendly. It used to provide seven days of price matching on top of price drops. In the midst of all this, the company released a statement that their policy has not changed, contrary to reports whilst caution the risk customers have with sharing credentials with third-parties.
