Amazon.com Inc. is to bring free same-day delivery to the Bronx following criticism from elected representatives that the company had neglected minority communities. According to Amazon’s VP Brian Huseman, they are “actively working to enable service to the Bronx in the coming weeks.”
“Once completed, Prime members in every zip code in New York City, including the Bronx, will receive Prime Free Same-Day Delivery.” The statements came from letters sent to Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. and New York State Assemblyman Jeff Dinowitz. Both men had complained about the borough’s initial exclusion from the service.
