Microsoft Acquire Solair

In an announcement, Microsoft revealed that it acquired Solair, an IoT service based in Italy founded in 2011. The company had already used Microsoft’s Azure cloud computing platform to offer services. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that Microsoft plans on integrating its tech into the Azure IoT Suite.

Microsoft’s specific plans for Solair are unclear for now. The company has said nothing beyond its excitement regarding “their technology and talent.” Furthermore, the deal’s financial details have not been disclosed either. Although far from a household name, Solair has worked with several notable clients, including Rancilio Group and Minerva Omega Group.
