Robinsons Retail Profit in 2015 Increased by 22%

In 2015, the Gokongwei family’s retail holding firm raised its net profit by 22%, which is more than a fifth of the previous year. This increase is the result of the firm’s store network expansion and same-store sales growth, which topped its guidance. To be specific, P4.34 billion is the registered net income for 2015, compared to 2014’s P3.56.

For the year’s fourth quarter, earnings rose by an annual 12.7%. The core net income leaped by 5.8 year on year, without impact from interest income on bond investments, foreign exchange gains or loses, and equitized net earnings. RRHI President Robina Gokongwei-Pe has said that she is “heartened” by the strong same-store growth despite intensifying competition.
