Hotel of Asia launches Hotel 101

Joint venture company Hotel of Asia formally launched Hotel 101-Manila last July 7, 2016 in response to the demand from the lower-end segment of travel and tourism.

Hotel 101 General Manager Lei A. Policarpio said the company’s target inventory is to reach 5000 rooms by 2020. Policarpio said the company aims to support the Department of Tourism’s campaign to promote tourism growth by bringing more visitors to the country through the construction of more hotels, which would also provide more employment to jobless people.

Policarpio also hinted of plans by the company to invest in Boracay and Bonifacio Global City.

Hotel 101 is the newest hotel brand in the country and currently has 518 rooms. It is located at the Mall of Asia complex. Policarpio believes that the fact that they are surrounded by 5-star hotels would work to their advantage since they will be able to exclusively cater to the high demand for low-end category hotels.
