Xiaomi-backed startup iRiding is set to release a smart bike by this week. Information on its US$3,000 price has been publicized earlier, and finally an image of what the actual product will look like has been released as well.
The The QiCycle R1 will be equipped with sensors to provide the user’s app with personal fitness data. The product will be manufactured in Taiwan.
Xiaomi and iRiding are not the first companies to explore the world of smart bikes, but their flagship product the QiCycle R1 will be one of the most expensive.
More information about the QiCycle will be available soon upon its official launch later this week. The smart bike’s $3,000 price tag is about 10 times the price of Xiaomi’s latest phone model, the Mi5.
