Remember Creopop, the 3D pen with cool ink? It creates 3D art without melting plastic, using light-sensitive ink that solidifies when it comes into contact with UV rays. This Singaporean startup has just gained new funding from Emery Capital, a venture capital firm from Russia. The latest funding acquired will go into further research and development. It will also be used to expand Creopop’s reach to more markets across the globe.
According to Emery Capital CEO Ivan Savelyev, their investment in Creopop marks their debut into the Asian venture capital markets. Their firm has faith in the company’s future success due to the development of unique technologies, which is further complemented with the professionalism and management in Singapore’s first-class business environment.
Earlier in June, Creopop was launched commercially and it secured a deal with Best Buy just last month. The 3d-printing pen can also be purchased online from American outlets like B&H. The startup currently has its hands full, shipping out their products to their crowdfunding backers.
