We Heart It, the image bookmarking site used by over 40 million teens recently launched its new application, Easel. This new app allows users to create quote images which can then be shared on We Heart It and other social networks. Easel was created to complement the function of We Heart It.
We Heart It expanded into mobile creation tools seeing that majority of their users are on mobile. They previously reported that around 80%-90% of their users access We Heart It through its mobile application. They also want to increase participation from their user community, in terms of content creation.
Easel lets users create their own images using personalized captions or favorite quotes, or quotes available in the app. They can also choose images to edit from those offered in Easel or from their own Camera Roll.
The new app is easy to use. Users only have to pick a photo, choose font styles and designs and enter a quote. Once done, the creator can then share the image to We Heart It or other social media sites, and can also add the image to text and email. The app does not require any sign ups as well.
Through its direct tie-in with We Heart It, Easel, which was recently launched currently has over 50,000 downloads.
