Google in Talks with Ford to Create Self-Driving Cars

Google is said to be in negotiations with Ford to help create their autonomous cars. The contract manufacturing deal, when finalized, is expected to come during the International Consumer Electronics Show on the first week of January. Despite confirmation of talks between the two companies, Google has declined to comment on other speculations.

Earlier last year, Google began talks with the world’s top automakers in an effort to bring self-driving cars to the public as soon as possible, likely 2020. The company started testing tiny, bubble-shaped prototypes on Mountain View public roads. Another testing site used by Google is Austin, Texas.
