$2M Raised by Influencer Marketing Startup Captiv8

It was announced by Captiv8 that they have raised $2 million in seed funding. The company, created by the founders of mobile ad exchange Moblix, is among the companies that connect marketers with influencers on platforms such as Twitter and Instagram.

The startup makes use of technology and data-driven approaches. This includes examining geography and demographics to help predict which influencers can make an impact for any given brands. In the release, the company’s co-founder, Krishna Subramanian, described the methods as utilizing “predictive data to drive authentic brand engagement.” Among the brands that use Captiv8 include Amazon, Microsoft, and Johnson&Johnson.
