German-backed Solar Developer Launches 2nd Project Launched in Tarlac

Solar developer nv vogt Philippines new solar project in Sitio Sampaloc, Barangay Armenia, Tarlac City is now fully operational. The solar plant is its third in the country and the second one in Tarlac, with the first being built in Barangay Dalayap in Tarlac City. The new plant has a total of 8.84-megawatt (MW) capacity consisting of 33,984 solar panels and can generate enough power to serve around 7,600 households.

The solar project, from construction to fully operational status, was accomplished in just 60 days. The construction of the plant was managed by offshore EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) partner ib-vogt and onshore EPC  AD Villanueva brothers.

Vivek Chaudhri, president of nv vogt Philippines, last May said that they are eyeing to build 200 MW of solar capacity in the next three years. The planned solar farms will be located mostly in Luzon and Mindanao and will cost around $300 million each, Chaudhri said.
