It was reported on Tuesday that LG Electronics had suffered through an unexpected loss for their final quarter 2015 as its smartphone business struggled and raw materials costs rose. It has had a net loss of 140.4 billion won, in comparison to the net loss of 205.7 billion won from the previous year.
LG has stated in a press release that it will be launching two flagship phones sometime in 2016. Along with a more cost-competitive value chain, it is expected to improve profitability in the future. One of the two models is actually coming out as early as late February due to a scheduled event by the company at that time.
