Microsoft Bringing Post-Breach Detection to Windows 10

Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection, a new tool designed to help IT detect Windows 10 threats, was announced by Microsoft. With an increasing number of brazen cyber attacks, it is a given nowadays that cybercriminals have become incredibly well organized and terrifyingly efficient.

Even with excellent defense, attackers make use of social engineering and zero-day vulnerabilities in their attempts to break into corporate networks. That much was admitted by Microsoft executive vice president Terry Myerson in a recent blog post that describes the new tool. IT pros can now use Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection to help them decide which Windows 10 device to monitor. It should be noted that only Windows 10 is being protected by the new tool for now.
