New IOS App for Wikipedia Focuses on Personalization

An upgraded version of Wikipedia’s iOS application was launched, which aims to help users discover content that matches their interests. The content includes not only articles, but also images. The app is also optimized for Apple’s newer OS as well as the latest iPhone, with support for Spotlight Search integrations and 3D Touch.

This is just the latest effort in a series of moves designed to make the app more desirable and useful to users. The goal is to enable more users to check in for every day fact-checking purposes. It also has a feature that allows users to save articles for later reading. Other features include improved image galleries and tools to easily share articles via email or social media.
