A beachfront hotel has been taken over by Vista Land & Lifescapes after their absorption of Starmalls, Inc. Chairman Manuel B. Villar, Jr. revealed to reporters last week that the country’s largest homebuilder recently acquired the 54-room Boracay Sands Hotel last year. However, he declined to reveal the acquisition cost.
Boracay Sands Hotel is Vista Land’s first pure hotel asset. After learning the ropes with it, VLL now plans on creating its own hotel chain. The plan is for the hotels to cater towards middle class customers, as well as business travelers. The room rates are expected to be between Php 5,000 to Php 7,000 per night.
