CCCI to Culminate Cebu Business Month 2016 with Grand Chamber Awards and Fellowship Night

It has been a busy month for the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) with all of the activities it lined up for Cebu Business Month 2016. Now, the eventful month is finally set to end with its annual awarding of outstanding entrepreneurs in the Grand Chamber Awards to be held on June 30, 2015, 5:30 PM at the Marco Polo Plaza Cebu.

Five awards are going to be given away in the event. One of them is Entrepreneur of the Year which will be awarded to a business leader who has been in operation for at least 10 years, have created innovative products or industries, and contributed to the Cebu economy. Last year’s winner of this award was Bunny Pages of Pages Holdings Inc.

The other awards are Corporate Social Responsibility Institution, Small Business Entrepreneur, Countryside Entrepreneur, and Young Entrepreneur.

The event’s dress code will be Futuristic Formal, which includes metallic shades of any color. This is in line with their overall theme of “Digital Cebu”.

Grand Chamber Awards chairperson Pia Alturas said that the awards night will showcase world-class entertainment, including a 2-hour show using cutting-edge 3D Mapping Technology. Prizes will also be given away to attendees during the event via a digital raffle.

Also for the first time, the awards night will be open to non-members for a fee of P1000. Michelle Varron, Publicity and Promotions chairperson, explained that they are opening the event to everyone as part of its effort to encourage new and emerging enterprises to join the chamber. Varron said that CCCI wants to change the notion that only established businesses can join the chamber.

The chamber currently has around 700 members. CBM 2016 Overall Chairman Christian Paro-an hopes that the membership count continues to grow and looks forward to welcoming new members.
