Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is now a dad! He and his wife Priscilla have welcomed a daughter, Max, into the world. Maxima Chan Zuckerberg was born early in Thanksgiving week, weighing in at 7lbs and 8oz, as reported by a spokesperson from Facebook. Zuckerberg himself made the official announcement on Tuesday through a Facebook note.
In the same note, the ‘Chan Zuckerberg Initiative’ was announced; it is a nonprofit that aims to “join people across the world to advance human potential and promote equality for all children in the next generation”. Besides the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, Zuckerberg had already signed a pledge to The Giving Pledge, where he and his wife will be donating 99% percent of their Facebook shares, amounting to $45 billion total.
