Porche’s Mission E Launches This 2020

Porsche has given the green light to build an electric-powered sports car.Porche’s Mission E will introduce a lithium-ion integrated battery capable of charging to 80 percent in just 15 minutes. Mission E’s range will be 310 miles, and hit 62mph in 3.5 seconds. The vehicle can optionally be ‘refuelled’ wirelessly by induction via a coil set into a garage floor.

According to Porsche, the new Mission E project will be launched around the
end of this decade, in 2020. In its official statement, the company claims
that with the Mission E project, Porsche is continuing to get back sustainable
growth. Moreover, for this project Porsche will be making an investment of up
to 1 Billion Euros and in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen alone the company will create
opportunities for over 1000 new jobs.

The Ä700 Mission E investment was part of a Ä1bn spending plan on new facilities announced by Porsche.
