Phoenix Semiconductor Philippines Corp. recently revealed that they managed to sign a brand new supply agreement with South Korea’s Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. The existing contract is extended for another three years at least. The deal between the two companies was originally sealed in 2010.
The master agreement renews the deal beginning on June 1 of this year. If the parties don’t find amendments necessary, then it also provides for an automatic renewal for at least a year. For this particular agreement, Samsung is to continue in supplying production materials along with testing the equipment over the stated contract period.
