Apple has already acquired Metaio, which is an AR startup, while Google has invested $500 million in Magic Leap. Those are just two examples that point towards a bright future for AR. One can easily expect more brands to roll out augmented reality apps within the next three to five years or so. The pieces of a soon-to-be mature AR ecosystem are beginning to emerge.
