Barbie’s Drone Hoverboard Actually Flies

Barbie’s latest accessory does not revolve around fashion, but rather an updated mode of transportation — a flying drone hoverboard. Unlike the real hoverboards that are more like electric skateboards and don’t actually hover, Barbie’s cool quadcopter can fly and comes with a matching pink wireless remote control.

Meant for kids ages eight and up, the drone can carry a lightweight foam version of Barbie and is easy to fly. This new accessory is the latest of the many improvements that Barbie has experienced recently.

Mattel Inc. reveals that the dramatic makeovers of the toys was a move to increase their appeal to “millennial moms”. Barbie’s next generation of dolls will feature three different body shapes, seven skin tones, and 24 hairstyles.
