For the previous year, China Bank saw its net income expand by 10%. This increase happened on the back of the company’s continued core business operations expansion. To be specific, its net income for 2015 managed to reach Php 5.63 billion. China Bank also stated that its earnings translated to a 9.69% return on equity.
Its net interest income grew by 7%, largely from receivables and loan earnings. The net interest margin stood at 3.37%, whilst net loans rose to 7%. This was driven by the strong consumer and commercial loan growth. This offset the corporate loans’ flat growth. Due to its fast branch expansions during that year, 2015 ended with a total branch network of 517 throughout the country.
