Apo Agua Infrastructure, Inc. is looking to secure permits for the construction of a P10-billion bulk water supply project in Davao city. The project is a joint venture between J.V. Angeles Construction Corp. and Aboitiz Equity Ventures. The target date for the project’s construction is January 2017.
According to AAII General Manager Cirilo Almario III, it takes four or five months to acquire an environmental compliance certificate from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. For those who want to get a land conversion certificate from the Department of Agrarian Reform, the waiting period is six or seven months. The project is set to tap the Tamugan River, providing water for the city for a guaranteed thirty years.
