The government plans on awarding seven more public-private partnerships before the succeeding administration takes over. This news was broken by the PPP center, despite the most recent postponements in the bidding of certain projects.
PPP Center Executive Director Andre C. Palacios cited “strong reasons” to provide the award to five regional airports, a regional prison, Davao seaport, and four other PPP projects by June. Both the Department of Justice and the Department of Transportation and Communications are working tirelessly to bring the procurement process close to completion. The PPP Center is ready to aid both departments in making the final push and complete the process by the 30th of June.
