Regarding the implementation of self-driving cars, it appears federal regulations might be in the works. The Transportation Secretary, Anthony Foxx, will be in Detroit on Thursday. He will be discussing the Obama administration’s efforts to lay out nationwide guidelines concerning the introduction of these vehicles.
According to Reuters, the administration has the goal of speeding up the process of getting such cars on the road. For now, autonomous self-driving cars are only allowed in certain states. That includes Michigan, Nevada, California, and a few others. So far, only carmakers have the license to test out these driverless cars.
