Snapchat Introduces New Memory Function for Snaps

Last week, Snapchat launched its latest feature. Labeled as “Memories”, the new feature allows users to share and save their snaps. It is a Snapchat album where users can store photos and videos that they would like to include in their snap stories. Though users can now save their files, they still have to immediately upload them.

‘Memories’ is considered a great change for Snapchat as it shows how innovative the picture and video sharing app is compared to other social networks.

Recently, the app allowed more advertising and other forms of sponsored content as their appraisal increased to around $18 billion. The age bracket of their users also grew older. More than 10 percent of their users are above 35 years old.

In an announcement posted on their blog, Snapchat believes that it’s fun to celebrate any memorable event by finding old snaps and connecting them to form a new ‘story’.

According to a report released by Bloomberg a month ago, Snapchat surpassed Twitter in terms of daily usage. It has now over 150 million daily users worldwide. Twitter has less than 140 million daily users currently.
