Twitter Develops “Birdwatch” to Check Misinformation

Twitter is now working on its new feature called” Birdwatch”. The said feature is a moderation tool to monitor misinformation shared and published on the social networking site.

Through the said feature, moderators can flag tweets and decide whether it is misleading or not.

With Birdwatch, tweets can be added under it through the tweet’s drop-down menu, where other blocking and reporting tools can also be seen. A report said that a small binoculars icon will appear on tweets published to the Twitter Timeline.

Using the app’s screenshots, it can use a tab called “Birdwatch Notes”. This will be in the sidebar navigation area of the application.
