Honeyfund is a crowdfunding platform that helps newlyweds raise money to fund their honeymoon. The company first launched in 2006 when its founders Sara and Josh Margulis learned that their guests would much rather give them memories and experiences rather than traditional wedding gifts.
They then started a simple page where their guests can fund fund their dream honeymoon to Fiji and eventually the site became what is now known as Honeyfund. Currently, Honeyfund is the seventh most used wedding registry in the US.
Recently, the company celebrated its 10th anniversary by launching an application for Android and iOS users. The new iOS and Android apps make it easier to put together and share wedding registries.
