It also depends on the person because some people don’t respond well to criticism.

It doesn’t matter whether you are a Vince Lombardi or Jim Calhoun – you won’t get results without spies. Some people call them informants or snitches, but that’s harsh. They are people that use the information they receive to better their position. Whether you like it or not, it’s important to realize that the info is a godsend. With this information, you can make adjustments for the good of the company. The industry knows this as human capital management.
