Step #1 – Taking Breaks

It is easy to get in the loop of binging the whole work in one sitting without taking a breather. The method might seem like a good idea given its efficiency, but it is not good to not take regular breaks.
Sooner or later, it will come back to bite you. Suffering from health problems is not good. Take some time off work. Grab lunch, speak with someone, or simply relax in a chair reading a book for a bit.
Step #2 – Listening to Music
Speaking of relaxation, music can be a great source of motivation. Not every office allows you to listen to music. And some that have this play a radio that repeats the same songs over the day. In other words, you get sick of it.
Meanwhile, working from home gives you an opportunity to create your own playlist and switch it depending on the mood and situation. Take this opportunity to enjoy your favorite tracks.

A reward system will also help with increasing productivity. Always have something you can look forward to at the end of the day. Even if a reward is small, you will still find it easier to finish the work early, knowing that there is something good waiting at the end of the day.

Do not spend the whole day at home. Even if you have a lot of work to do, make sure that you have some time left by the end of the day. This time should be dedicated to going outside, so long as the weather allows it.

Living alone is great because you do not have to mind other people. However, those who have a family will find it harder than usual when they need to balance work and family.

Distractions like smartphone notifications or messages from people who have nothing better to do can really bring down the overall productivity. If you want to get the work done, you will need to get rid of these distractions.
Block social media and other applications when at work. Make sure that you focus on work and nothing else. You can check out the smartphone after you are finished. If it is not important, it can wait.
Step #8 – Having a Morning Routine
A morning routine should also be something to consider. Not having to commute to work means you can spend more time in bed. However, do not get in the habit of oversleeping because it will only get harder to wake up.
