Statistics can tell us a lot about a particular thing. For example, it can tell us about the state of venture capital investments, which industries are leading and what the trends will most likely be for the succeeding year.
In 2014, the United States was in the lead in terms of global value of venture capital investments, followed by Europe and China. The country recorded the highest number of VC rounds invested worldwide in that year.
Fast forward to the last quarter of 2015, VC investments in the U.S. software industry alone reached approximately 4.52 billion U.S. dollars.
