Two of the country’s top networks claim leadership for March’s television ratings. “The Kapamilya Network” lured in the most TV households, garnering an average audience share of 44% from combined rural and urban homes. By comparison, GMA 7 only managed to secure 35%.
The rating is based on data on Nielsen TV Audience Measurement. In primetime block, ABS-CBN managed an average audience share of 49% compared to GMA 7’s 33%. “The primetime block is the most important part of the day when most Filipinos watch TV and advertisers put a larger chunk of their investment in to reach more consumers effectively,” as explained by ABS-CBN.
