Apple to Diversify its Infrastructure

Rumors are going around that Apple is set to move part of its cloud business to Google’s Cloud Platform. It does appear that the company is making moves to further diversify the storage of its iCloud, whilst tapping Google for some of that business. This is seen by many as yet another huge win for Google.

What isn’t clear is if Apple will definitely move to other platforms. Regardless of that, if Apple is just looking for diversity in its infrastructure, then adding Google is a fairly logical move. Google is set to host a major cloud event, Google Next, next week in San Francisco. If there are plans to talk to the public about its new customer, then it is likely to be at the event.
