Australian App Tells If Your Fashion is Ethically Sourced

For those who care about every detail of their organic lifestyle, there’s a new Australian app that can help you determine if your fashion is ethically sourced. Good on You helps shoppers make informed purchases by providing them not only the environmental and labour background but also the animal protection standards of a lot of major fashion brands.

According to Gordon Renouf, CEO and founder of Good On You, “Fashion is an industry that has a big impact on the environment, labor rights and animals, and is said to be the second most polluting industry in the world.”

The Good On You app is free for download on Android and iOS. When using the app, you can search for a particular brand and it will give you 5 possible ratings: “great,” “good,” it’s a start a start,” not good enough,” and “we avoid.” It will also advise you where the closest store is for your preferred brands and recommend new ones based on your personalised ethical preferences.
