Botify, a French startup founded in 2012, raised $7.2 million financing from Indivest and Ventech in a Series A round. The startup provides traffic and SEO management service to companies but what makes it different is that it provides insights on which search engine optimization strategy to apply depending on your particular case.
Botify will not make the optimizations for you. What it does is gather SEO and traffic data about your web page and provide you with this data so you can make the necessary optimizations. Botify helps SEO managers by providing analytics with specific numbers and factual data. Recently, it has over 300 customers including eBay, Expedia, Farfetch and Expedia.
What Botify does is simple. First, it crawls through servers without you having to do anything. It then gives you an overview of your site’s structure. Then, it researches and crawls Google or Bing’s indexes, letting you know which pages have been crawled by search engines. Lastly, the company then gives you a detailed report on which SEO strategy you should apply.
Botify is priced at $569 to $999 per month. With their current 300 customers and a good pricing model, the startup is headed to a good start.
