Humans are made of approximately 60% water, which is why drinking enough fluids is really important. A Hong Kong-based startup realized the significance so they created the Ozmo Smart Cup.
Ozmo cups have very simple designs and won’t stand out among a display of coffee mugs and water bottles. The magic comes from the sensors equipped on the cup and its bluetooth capabilities. The sensors will track the drinker’s water or coffee consumption, and send the information to a connected device.
There are two types of Ozmo cups available. OzmoActive comes with a sportier appearance and tracks only water. OzmoJava tracks both water and coffee and it has a recharging base which can be used as a heater.
These futuristic cups are sold at a hefty price of $80 each. However, since both $1,000 campaign offers sold out in Kickstarter, this proves that a dedicated market is willing to part with their hard earned cash just to have this first-of-its-kind hydration-tracking cup.
