Apple has new rules that accepts iPhones less than perfect in condition as part of its trade-in program. Apple will now accept iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and 6 Plus units with damaged displays, cameras, and buttons.
The amount that will be received in the trade-in can be use to purchase a new Iphone model. Customers can receive a $50 credit for a iPhone5s, $150 for a 6, and $200 for a 6 Plus. This trade-in program could be way to generate demand for Iphone 7 which will be introduced later in the year. The Apple Store Reuse and Recycle iPhone trade-in program has long allowed customers to trade older iPhone models for credit. However, the line is drawn at damaged phones.
Also in Iphone displays, Apple stores will start offering a plastic screen protector installations. partnering with Belkin, a screen protector maker, to bring screen protector installation machines to stores’ back.
