Metro Retail’s five-year expansion program is set to begin this year. The company plans on opening at least seven stores to take advantage of the rising consumer spending. The plan is for these new stores to open throughout Luzon and Visayas.
According to MRSGI Vice-President for Business Development Joseph Balatbat, most of the expansion comes from organic growth that’s “composed of stand-alone stores and stores opening in the malls of our partner developers like Ayala Land, Inc.” They also continue to search for more acquisition opportunities at the right prices. The company hopes to double its footprint within five years.
