San Miguel Set to Begin Development of MRT-7

The San Miguel Corp. is set to begin working on big-ticket infrastructure projects this year. One project is the already-delayed expressway project that would connect three terminals of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport with a casino complex. According to San Miguel’s head of tollway projects, Alec Cruz, construction of the Bulacan Bulk Project and Metro Rail Transit Line is set to begin soon.

According to Mr. Cruz, they recently got all the approvals. “Our contractor has been selected and within the year we can start actual construction of the MRT-7.” Said project involves financing, design, operation, construction, and maintenance of the 23-kilometer elevated railway line. It will have 14 stations from San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan to Quezon City’s MRT-3 North Avenue.
